Reimbursement of Costs
To cover the costs of the doctorate the doctoral student receives a sum of 750 euro after obtaining the doctorate. The doctoral student holds on to the necessary receipts (originals only) with the intention of proving the completed costs. Invoices are to be made on the student's name and personal address. These costs include:
- specific costs expended for the doctoral education programme (photocopies, travel expenses, registration costs for activities organised by third parties),
- printing costs for the doctoral thesis
If the doctoral student still has the status of personnel at the K.U.Leuven after the defence of his/her doctorate, the expenses are reimbursed via KULoket>beroepskosten (work-related expenses). Otherwise, the faculty’s secretariat itself re-claims the expenses via KULoket.
The financial intercession is deposited in a bank account of the doctoral student.
